Restructuring of the archdiocesan administrative offices, has given us the opportunity to better serve and minister to our parishes and schools. In 2020, Archbishop Gregory Aymond formed the Department of Catholic Education and Faith Formation (DCEFF). This represents an exciting and renewed beginning for us. This natural, yet brilliant union between the former Office of Religious Education and Office of Catholic Schools marks a transitional moment for the archdiocese, providing the vital opportunity to recreate and enhance our ministry efforts with our parish and school communities. Our mission statement speaks clearly to who we are and how God is calling us to serve:
Led by the Holy Spirit and centered in the person of Jesus Christ, the mission
of the Department of Catholic Education and Faith Formation is to provide
service, support, and guidance to all parish and school communities in the
shared ministry of evangelizing, catechizing and educating with standards of
excellence to form lifelong disciples who witness God’s love with joy.
This mission statement, which centers itself on the formation of lifelong disciples, is very important to us. We desire to be very intentional about this in all that we do, including in our own ongoing formation as disciples of Jesus Christ, and we look forward to supporting our people in this regard as well. We hope that you will find that the creation of the DCEFF has provided us the ability to serve and support you in new and expanded ways.
